Terms &
Conditions
Last updated: March 2026

1Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cineroster (the “Platform”), joining our waitlist, creating an account, or otherwise engaging with our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the Platform. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2Eligibility
You may use Cineroster only if:
- You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your country).
- If you are between 13 and 18, you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian.
- You are not barred from receiving services under applicable law.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
Cineroster is intended for creative professionals in the film and media industries. We reserve the right to decline access to anyone who does not meet these criteria.
3Your Account
When you create an account or join the waitlist, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Do not share your login credentials with any third party.
- Notify us immediately at support@cineroster.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You may not create more than one account per person without our written consent.
- Accounts created via Google Sign-In are subject to Google’s own terms of service in addition to ours.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that have been inactive for an extended period, with notice where reasonably practicable.
4User Content & Intellectual Property
You own your content. Any work, portfolio items, images, videos, text, credits, or other material you upload or submit to Cineroster (“User Content”) remains your property. We do not claim ownership over your creative work.
Licence you grant us. By uploading User Content you grant Cineroster a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform (e.g. displaying your portfolio to other users, generating thumbnails, indexing for search). This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to reasonable retention periods for backups.
Your representations. By submitting User Content you confirm that:
- You own it or have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it.
- It does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- It does not violate any applicable law or these terms.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
5Platform Licence to You
Subject to your compliance with these terms, Cineroster grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your personal or professional portfolio purposes.
You may not:

- Scrape, crawl, or data-mine the Platform without our express written consent.
- Use the Platform to build a competing product or service.

6Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or discriminatory.
- Impersonate any person, company, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Upload content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other IP rights of third parties.
- Distribute spam, unsolicited messages, or promotional material to other users.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or any code designed to damage or disrupt the Platform.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or network connected to the Platform.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the Platform without our consent.
- Engage in any activity that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement authorities.

Send DMCA notices to: support@cineroster.com. We will process valid notices promptly and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the infringing material.

9Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cineroster makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- That the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- That any content on the Platform is accurate, complete, or up to date.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties — in those jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cineroster and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities — arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

By you: You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@cineroster.com. Upon closure, your publicly visible profile and User Content will be removed, subject to our data retention policy.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the Platform. Where reasonably practicable we will give you advance notice and an opportunity to export your data.
Sections 4 (User Content & IP), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 13 (Governing Law) survive termination of these terms.
13Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at support@cineroster.com. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Los Angeles, California under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
